Default Tall driver and the 300A package

Hi guys, this may sounds funny but I am a bit worried about the seat ergonomy on the F150. I am 6'4'' and on the market for a new truck. When it come to the F150, you have a choice of a 4way adjustable seat (not in height though) with the base package or a 6way elec. adj. seat with the 302A. the thing is I don't need all the bells and whistle of the 302A and ford almost don't sell 301package anymore. I have tested a 300A for 15min and it feels okay but the brake pedal is a bit uncomfortable for me to reach (too close). Does some of the tall guys around here can give me their feedback on this ergonomy issue on the long run? Should i stick with the basic seat or pay extra for the electric one?
Thanks for sharing.

I can't speak on being tall (I'm only 5'9") ... but I have the 402A package in my FX4 (I think that's basically the same as the 302A in the XLT you're talking about). I can tell you that I find the power pedals and full-way power seats to be worth every penny. I have everything adjusted perfectly for me, making the driving/ride as comfy as you could imagine a truck being ... then add in the ability telescope and tilt the steering wheel, and you're golden.

I do know that these newer/late model F150's have HUGE interior and even the biggest of people should be able to be perfectly comfortable in them.

And as for the "other bells and whistles" that come w/ the 302A package ... you may not feel you need them, or even really "want" them ... but I'm sure they will grow on you and you'll be glad you have them.

My 13 has the 6 way power seat along with adjustable pedals (don't know if the pedals matters) and I am 6'4". I drive over 35k per year very comfortably.

I'm 6'3". I do not know the packages I have but I am very comfortable with the power driver seat and adjustable pedals. Plenty of leg room. Did you adjust the pedals when you test drove? They were uncomfortable for me too until adjustment.

I am 6'9'' and have the 6 way power seat. My truck is the only vehicle I have ever driven that I can actually adjust the seat to the point where I can barely reach the pedals. The only think I wish I would have done was upgrade to a truck that had the telescoping steering wheel.

The 302A is not that much more, and the power seat will do away with your worries. It also comes with adjustable pedals that should help. Good luck on your decision

Thanks a lot guys.

@Wiggum: "then add in the ability telescope and tilt the steering wheel, and you're golden." True, but the XLT does not come with it sadly enough :/

@Tallyman89 & ggf150: Yes I did push back the pedals to the max and put my seat 1/2 way back. I wanted to push it even more but like you say the lack of telescopic steering wheel prevent me to do it.

@ggf150: You are even taller than me and I had the same thought about the telescopic steering. Would you go yourself to an FX4 today to get that option or the XLT as you have it is good enough? Those truck are so expensive that I really want to get the most of it and avoid any ankle pain etc..
