Tailgaiting/spring break mods

Tailgating is one of my favorite things to do in my truck and summer concert's are just around the corner.
I built a custom flag pole holder out of an old cooler that I use to fly my school's flag for football games. It works great and I'm able to change out the flag for a boat table that fits into the same base for food and drinks.
Add in a couple coolers of choice beverages and a boom bucket for music and I'm ready to go.
Doesn't hurt to have the tailgate step either for easier access for the ladies....too bad the pole's not a little bit taller!

Fighting Illini
My son is on the Marching Illini Drumline and I decided to step up the Band / Team spirit. Painted my truck with a product called Plasti-dip. When the season is over I can just peel off the paint work.
Let me know what you think, first time with a paint gun.
FYI, the Pink Flamingo is the drumline mascot aka Party Chicken

I don't have any step by step pictures lol. First you need a rolling ice chest with a decent amount of surface area for mounting the speakers. Next get a marine grade head unit and some marine speakers. The Pyle speakers I got from amazon were only 40 dollars and they sound great. The battery is an old battery I took from a riding lawnmower and it lasts a long time. The speakers were 6.5s so I cut 6 inch holes for the speakers and sealed them off with silicone. I bought a water resistant cover/mounting bracket for the head unit and cut a hole for it and sealed it off. Wire everything up and your good to go! For charging I throw a 2amp battery maintainer on it over night and its good to go for a full day and then some. When I get home I can take a picture of the inside.
