What is the difference between Synch with NAV and My Ford touch?

Is it just that touch offers control of things such as the climate control, vehicle health reports etc. via the touch screen?

From what I understand synch does allow you to control the radio, phone, mp3s, etc through the touch screen, but not some of the other things the My Ford touch does.

Im trying to decide if I want to wait for a 2013 with My Ford Touch or get a deal on a 2012. Thanks

Good question, and welcome to the forum. I'm in for an answer to this also. I'm a bit low tech, so any info will help as I am thinking about a '13 also.
