In my head, i calculate this as being on +19 offset wheels, but i don't know if that's actually true, because i don't know where the rim width interacts with the offset, making the spacer an unknown addition compared to a wheel with natural offset.
1” spacer is - 25.4 to the wheel. so a +44 offset -25.4 = 18.6 or 19 if you round up like you did.

I plan on getting new wheels in the future when the time is right and also considering going to a 17” wheel. I find that the tires for 17” wheels are a little cheaper. I’ll have to do more research from now until I buy to see what I go with. I have LT-E tires now and like them but find them to be good. Interested in the LT-C tires mentioned above.

Thanks, i've done some more digging to confirm a spacer just does a simple "add" to the backspacing, regardless of the wheel width, that's another part of the equation.

Unfortunately, based off the pictures from customwheeloffsets that i could fine, the 12th gen's wheels stick out further normally than the 13th gen. Looking at trucks with 17" x 8.5" zero offset Method wheels, all the 12th gens are 'aggressive, 1" past fender' Vs. the pictures and classifications on the 13th gens being 'mildly aggressive, slight poke'

Most of the pictures had non-factory flares, which didn't help, but the one that had them was here.

For comparison, that picture is a 295 tyre, here's a 13th gen with a 315 tyre.

ya i noticed the difference as well between the two gens. I have 275/70R18 on +44 factory wheels plus 1.5” spacer and they poke about 3/4” so i added oem style flares

I might be stuck with getting the 18" wheels if i want to stay with Method.

So far as options in the 18", they too are zero offset, but also offer a +18 offset, which is ~the same as i have now with factory wheels and 1" spacer. However, because it goes from the factory 7.5" wheel, to a 9" wheel, the actual wheel itself will extend 20mm further out and 18mm further inboard. That extra 1.5" has to go somewhere, right? It pays to understand most of the tyre/offset calculators aren't giving you the wheel position/offsets, but the tyre.

But here's the question, do i want to change my plan and go for poke? probably not, i'd love to go 17", there are some small advantages, as you say including tyre size options in the P range instead of LT, but the 12th gen ends up with a great big poke with a zero offset.
Frankly, if i go with the 18 inch wheels and the +18 offset, i'm going to get a wider stance by nearly 0.8 of an inch, which is more manageable than the 1.26 inches (32mm)

Side note - directly comparing stock wheels/offset with the 17x8.5 with a zero offset, is the same as adding a 2.25" spacer to the stock wheels (as far as poke is concerned)

Last side note, this is kinda crazy, the 18" wheels with the 9" width and +18 offset, will be the same as adding a 1.77" spacer!!
Here is the truck with stock compared to a 1.25" spacer i tried.

Are you saying on mine, the 315/70 tyre will come just a little outward of flush with the Raptor wheel?

I'm looking at a narrower tyre, a 285 over the stock 275, on a 17 x 8.5 wheel, but at zero offset (might start a wheel thread if i can ever work out viable offsets)
The Raptors are 17X8.5, +34, if I'm wrong on the width, someone please correct me.
Yes on the poke, all those photos are Raptor wheels with 315/70/17 tires. I might point out, there are no flares on the truck at all.
If you're going with a 285 tire, I too would go with +18-+20 offset.

If photos help, my truck sits on 8x17 0 offset wheels, 275-70-17 tires, 2wd with a 1 3/4 level in front. The tires are Nokian Rotiva's, weigh 47+ pounds each (on my home scale), C rating.
I did stay on 17 because of the lighter tires but think it is easier to find various sizes now in 18. If taking account the gen differences John's +20 offset sounds perfect. KM
