Imo the latest gen GM trucks 07-current (GMT-900 chassis) are some of the cheapest/poorly assembled out of the last 3 generations. I frequent gmfullsize.com and many owners of the GMT900 platform wish they had kept their older gen trucks (specifically 03-06).. while a few still feel that the best platform was the GMT400 (88-98). I mean.. if you cant take it from the guys that own these things.. who are you going to believe.. lol

I'm on my 6th truck, >3 fords 84/88/05> 3 chevys 89 thru 00. The Chevy's where comfy and did what I needed them to do,but, a big "but" they all at what one point left me stranded. That's what I remember most about owning a Chevy. I've always gotten home in my fords!
I'm a trade it in guy after 4/5 yrs, but I can't let go of my 05 fx4. I just like this truck too much.

I even just took the Sierra out for a test drive back in 2010 and I was disappointed with the test drive. I can understand why the owners of those trucks would not be happy with them.

A decked out sierra is a nice looking truck, especially the front end. Even with those great deals, ie: 0% or $9000 at some dealers, I almost made the jump. Reading these posts has confirmed I'm in the right truck.

I haven't compared the newer F150 to the Silverado mainly because, I don't see a point in buying 1/2 ton trucks anymore, the better built trucks are the HDs and SDs. It's only really worth it if you buy them new, and I'm not about to spend what my dad paid for his 3/4 ton, 5.9 Megacab, or a little more for what a friend of mine just paid for a new 2011 1 ton 6.7 Longhorn Edt Megacab (with a factory Cummins 918hp tune, ATS built transmission) on a new half ton. I don't buy want to buy half ton trucks used because, well I'm finding 05 and 06 4 door Duramaxes (and Cummins) cheaper than I find F150's with equal or more mileage on them.

I get my materials delivered now and I don't plow. 1/2 ton suites me just fine now, plus its such a smoother ride. No argument, just my feeling on the subject.

I do like chevy's Duramax Diesel with Allison Transmission. That's is about the only chevy truck I would buy. However I love the Camaro even though it was designed by the Aussies and the G8, G8 GT AND G8 GXP which was also designed by the Aussies. Well I'm a muscle car fanatic so when it comes to the challenger, mustang, camaro and corvette I'll drive em all. Why not the charger you might ask.....bc the charger I remember was not a d**m four door!
