Suntek window tint
Does anyone here have experience with suntek window films? I've read some mixed reviews on this so I'm kind of worried. Local shop installs this and quoted me $120 for the front two side windows and a eyebrow across the windshield.

Suntek Carbon here cost $120 for 2 sides and the rear for the F150.
windshield strip cost $20.
This was for 20%. suntek is a good film.
But for my 2013 I did it myself. I watched the guy do my 2011. It takes time and patience. Cleaning the windows is the key, cutting the film precisely for the window...lots of soapy water on both the window and film, squeege, squeege, squeege. The back turned out perfect. the passenger side had a few pieces of lint that didn't squeege off when cleaning...... I got the 20% Professional Tint at Walmart. It was like 11.96 x 2.

wait. what?
my guy uses Suntek. I've had it on my last five vehicles and I don't know how many of my friends have it and I've never seen any defects. I paid $45 for my front two windows, $40 for the entire windshield. but I'm guessing I get hooked up since I bring him a lot of business.

I've put in LLumar CTX tint which is more of premium tint. With that comes a bit more of a cost since its a ceramic composition opposed to "standard" tint that are metallic or cheaper yet, dyed. The premium ceramic tint will not interfere or reduce electronic signals from keyless entry, remote starters, Bluetooth and navigation systems etc. 10 years ago tinting your vehicle didn't require much of a consideration for electronic gadgets now a days don't just blindly dismiss it.
As others say the installer is just as important or more so then the tint itself. Last tip don't use ammonia based window cleaners on tint, it'll go purple. Use a tint safe alcohol based window cleaner.
