Default stop me from buying a ram

I am looking at a 2006 2wd f-150 5.4L V8 with 108,000 (10,900). one person owner and carfax look ok for what they are worth. This will be my 1st truck... I owned gm cars and Suv in the past. The truck will be mainly used used for pulling a bass boat

I am also looking at a ram 1500 its $1,500 less and also has 15,000 less miles.

I keep my last suv for 13 years and want a truck that will last.

check it out

Ehhh, overall quality is lacking in the rams is what I noticed. I don't notice too many rams out there that are older that aren't a piece. I also like the fit and finish of the F150 better than the rams, especially with the older models.

i think the f150 and rams of those years are about the same quality overall. i give the interior nod to the f150 and if the ram has a hemi i give it the drivetrain nod.

Buy the ram if you'd like.

If you buy a Dodge plan on keeping it forever and fixing it a lot. They are junk and have way lower resale value. They are cheaper for a reason, lol!

You get what you pay for.

I would consider the Ram if I was buying a 3/4 or 1 ton diesel truck though. I'd still go with a Super Duty but the Ram would at least be a quick thought in my mind.

I'm not saying this out of brand loyal 'fanboyism,' but our family has had 3 dodge trucks (2 dakotas and a ram). All 3 have had transmission trouble. Maybe it's just a coincidence but enough to turn me off from them.

Why...it doesn't matter to me what you buy?
