Default Stereo system help!

Hi all! My husband just bought a 2000 f-150 and the cd player does not work in it, I'd like to replace it for him for father's day but have no idea what I should get. I'm sure someone on here has replaced their factory one along the way, what did you get and from where? I don't know if I can get him one that is the smaller kind (about an inch tall) considering how big the old one is and if I can what do I do to avoid having gapping holes in his dash? Thanks for any advice!!!

try crutchfield.com's car outfitter. It'll tell you what will fit, and they can give you a dash unit that will basically turn that opening into another dash pocket, or just get a double-din kit (a tall one that won't leave any empty room).

Crutchfield is a great place but if you are in a hurry just go to Best Buy, they have pretty good stuff there.

crutchfield is good but they are more expensive, the best thing you can do is look there at everything you need and then go to ebay, everyone things that ebay is all used stuff its not...just make sure what you buy is new and has a warranty and your set...it will be cheaper, depending on your budget kenwood has the best headunits on the market right now so keep that in mind if you have any more questions feel free to pm me
