I filled out the custom tune form on Monday 5/21/18 and sometime later that day I received an e mail stating he received the order and I should receive an e mail or phone call within 48 hours.

Since I had not received anything by late afternoon on Thursday 5/24/18, I called Shawn and he said he was in the middle of working on a tune but since mine was an easy 5.4 tune, he would send it out that night or the next morning. Nothing happened on Friday as he stated so I sent another email yesterday, 5/26/18.

Still nothing in my in box this morning, Sunday 5/27/18, so I have come to the realization that he doesn't plan to send me anything in the future except maybe more BS and lies if he would even answer the phone. I plan to file fraud charges with his local PD on Tuesday 5/29/18 as I don't have any other recourse left.

I guess I should be glad the worthless SOB at least sent me a NIB X4 even though it doesn't do me any good with out the tunes installed.

In the interim you can use the canned tunes that SCT includes with all programmers.

I have an '11 Lariat with the 6.2. I bought my Livewire from 5*. I have several performance tunes and a Tow tune from them. I also have several performance tunes and a Tow tune from MPT. The 5* tunes performance tunes I have (91P and 93P) have a very quick throttle tip in, to the point that I can't push the throttle any further than several inches or I'll break the tires loose. But, once I get adjusted to that, the performance is great. Light to moderate throttle causes the 1-2 upshift to occur too soon, but otherwise the upshifts are quick and firm and hold gear nicely. Same with downshifts as I slow. But, kick downs are delayed and causes me to abruptly drop way down in gear to make a pass. Other than the SCT 93P canned tune, the 5* 93P tune gives me my best MPG. On my trip out to West Virginia this past weekend, I was on the 5* 93P. I had a high of 20.9 mpg on level road, averaging about 18.5mpg. The 5* 91Perf. Tow is my favorite Tow tune, plus I get my best Towing MPG with it. Now for MPT. The MPT 91P tune is my favorite daily tune. The throttle tip-in is more usable. I can give it a moderate touch and go quickly, or I can jab it and break loose at will. The throttle is more linear, meaning it is more proportional to my input. The upshifts are quick and firm, but doesn't hold as long as the 5* performance tunes. Light to moderate throttle I'd say the shifting is more suited to daily driving, but hard on the throttle and it firms way up. Kick downs are quick and firm as well. Although I think the 5* 93P is more of a "Race" oriented tune, and a bit more fun, I like this MPT 91P tune the best. I would like it to hold gear a bit longer thou. I wanted to get a 93P from them but they no longer tune the 6.2. One thing I have noticed with all of these tunes, and this just may be the nature of my truck, but any throttle input past 1/2 to 3/4 throttle nets no better performance. Throwing it to the floor is no better than if I just jab it to about 1/2 throttle. If I go to the floor, then ease up on the throttle, I'll actually pick up speed rather quickly. But I've learned this and am accustomed to it now. Now.....About a year or so ago, I "Tried" for months to get a performance and tow tune from SSI, what a joke that was. I paid for the tunes and sent in the Tune Form, then waited. And waited, and waited. Long story but after many, many emails, and "attempted" phone calls, and...... posts on several sites, including there own, I never got a single reply from anyone. I had to request a stop payment on the credit card and get a refund. This was over a three month period. So yea, SSI.........................No way.

Wow that was a long reply thanks for the input. I'll probably stick with my 91 performance/tow from 5 star. I'd buy tunes from mpt but I bought a bully dog device and they dont support it. Should have just got the sct x4

Yes they do i ran 5 star and ssi at the track with my 5.0 and gotten much better times. Ssi 93 tune was a good ammount faster than 5 stars e85 tune.

Datalog your 5 Star and send it in for review/revisions, it'll be just as fast as your ssi along with better drivability.
You're welcome
