Got ticketed today for "speeding". I didnt know u could get pulled over for going 1MPH over

I'd argue it. Any speedo could easily be off by 1Mph even at a slow speed.

Seconded, that is usually why you are ok if you do 1-3 over, since that is the usual variance in speedometers.

Th city where my parents live was having financial issues so the Mayor ask the local police department to start pulling over for 1mph, so that they could raise revenues for the city.

You could take it to court, but in all reality you were speeding... bogus I agree, but maybe not to a ***** judge.

On highways around here, set cruise to 5 mph over, thats our rule of thumb. If you go to traffic court for 70mph in a 65mph zone, you dont even have to fight it, unless your being an a** and the cop puts no help in the notes on the ticket.

Got a ticket for 11 over. Got the speedo calibrated and it was WAY off. Guess 37's will do that to ya...

Damn dude. I don't even pull people over unless they're going at least 12 over. Hey if it makes you feel better, I got a $25 ticket for parking in a spot 5 minutes longer than I paid for. lol And I work with the guy.

But as an officer, I just suck it up and pay the fine. It may suck but technically if you did commit the infraction, he has legal right to fine you.
