spare tire psi
I have stock tires on my 2015s, how often do you guys check your spare and psi the same for spare? I usually put alittle over 35 psi on each tire at the gas station.

I check approximately every 6 months and put in the max on the sidewall.
Given that tires normally lose a few pounds a month, putting in 35 is silly because a few months later it will be low. Putting in the max sidewall pressure ensures that it will always have enough if you check every 6 months. When you need to use it, check the pressure and let some air out if needed. Adding air when you're on the side of a road in the dark isn't optimal, or possible if you don't have a compressor.

Good point. I do check the spare's psi for insurance, but have never needed one on any of my cars/trucks. I carry a compressor and plug kit. I have yet (knock on wood) to not be able to plug it and fill it back off without even jacking up the car, yet alonetaking the tire off.

I have plugged many a tire on the side of the road. Some for others. Some outside of cell coverage. Many without removing them or jacking the car.
Aired down and up on remote trails. On a weekend Boy Scout campout, there is no time for roadside and often you are in a very remote area.
A blowout is another thing but if so, I can air the spare to the correct pressure.

Went out and thumped the spare tire, yep it's got enough air in it. Enough to get me from work to home, 1.5 miles later.
