I had a new 92 back that had to be repainted, but I think that was a fairly wide issue. Mine came off in spots down to primer but a lot of others would peel in sheets of big areas. Not a new problem that Ford has had.

It was painted on a Monday.

Yeah id take it to the dealership and have them look at it. As far as inside the bed.....get it Line-Xed or RhinoLined man. I would never buy a new truck without doing that. I see people using their brand new bed without anything in it and a couple weeks they look like crap. No matter how good the paint is, the bed area not going to stand up. Drop ins are worthless too, I used to have one...they shift and scratch the paint underneath.

Came across this thread on the F250 forum. Looks like I’m not the only one with this problem. Sounds like it’s the Shadow Black. Going to Ford this week. Will post back with what I hear.

Went to the pool store to get 2 jugs of chloride today and the bed looks like it’s 20 years old. Made this video to show how easy this paint scratches.
Keep in mind, the bed in that video is just over 3 weeks old and is not a work truck. Haven’t moved anything but the plastic bed extender and plastic chlorine jugs today that were strapped down...
Very poor quality Ford... Disappointing...

I am one of those people that use a truck for a truck, mine had the bed liner in it when I got it and if it is in the bed it is expected to scratch the paint.
Truthfully if you have a problem with the paint you can thank the EPA with the water based paints the manufactures are having to use.
BTW I have a friend that had to get his New GMC painted last year so it not just Ford.

I don't care what type of paint, water based or not, this can't happen. If you said it happens on other body parts, someone owes you a new truck. They would have to strip your entire truck to repaint it. For the money you paid, they owe you to make it right.
