Are just do what I did an put a camera up that watches my truck over night. I have it on a motion sensor it turns on if it sees movement and records it's a black and white night vision camera I picked it up a local store for 40 bucks.

I saw a news story recently saying that actual car theft is down, but now people steal parts/accessories. I guess the systems in cars now are too advanced to make stealing the car worth it, but they'll grab anything they can that's bolted/taped/welded on. People are ridiculous.
