Bed Lining My Truck How To
I looked into line-x the closest place that does it is 40 miles away and they wanted 799.00 with the uv coating for my 2011 4x4 screwcab. So I did a lot of research on DIY bed-liners. The one I decided on was Monstaliner and has UV protection in it and come with a 5 yr warranty not bad for a DIY kit. The kit was 150 and comes with everything to do the job. Jeep guys have been using this stuff for a few yrs and its been getting great reviews so I thought I would try.
I started off with the supplied scouring pad, then switched over to a orbital sander with 120 grit paper which is recommended per the instructions and it makes life easier with power tools and just use the souring pad for hard to reach spots. Basically taking off all the shine from the paint in the bed. I prepped for around 7 hrs and will do a little bit more before I start bed lining. Prep will be the key as the kit suggests better you prep better the finish. I took the tail gate off as well makes life easier.
So far this is where I am at so far sanding etc pretty much done. More pictures and tips to come.
you will need 2 paint trays, plastic drop cloth,MEK or Acetone, tape, extra paint brush, orbital sander just makes life easier, BEER and patience

Looking forward to seeing your results. I had my 2013 super crew sprayed 4 days after i bought it by the local truck accessory store. It was $465 out the door and a lifetime guarantee.

You should have gotten a few more quotes. 799.00 seems like alot. I was quoted 500.00 for my 6.5 bed on my 2013. Still, 150.00 is way cheap if it turns out nice. Keep us posted.
