Default So why did you choose an F150?

I was originally a chevy guy. Went to GM school. Dropped out of it. Still worked at a buick/GMC dealer for a couple years. Two years ago i had a chevy malibu, but i bought a house and wanted a truck. Im driving home from work one day and i drive past the Ford dealership. I see a 2016 brand new blue flame XLT sitting there for 32,000$(Supercrew as well!) I stop and look. I fall in love with the styling, the space(god the supercrews have soom room in the back amirite!?) And then the test drive. Its a 2.7l but damn this thing scoots! Im saying to the salesmen,"ya know, i never thought id be on a ford lot looking at f150s". So long story short, i buy it, trade it in 2 weeks ago, and now i have a 18 black 3.5l sport optioned exactly how i want it to be. But ill admit, i dont see why anybody would buy any other brand truck. This thing is perfect. The gas mileage, the space, the looks, the payload, the towing, it just does it all better than the competitors. Im proud to say im now a Ford guy. Thanks for reading!

That's why I bought mine. In terms of packaging, there's no doubt the F-150 is unrivaled. I wish you the best of luck with your new truck.

It as a no-brainer for me.
I have no allegiances to car/truck manufactures (the other two vehicles in our driveway are a Toyota and a Hyundai).
My family was looking to purchase a ½ ton truck to pull our travel trailer, so my requirements were pretty straight forward: Maximize towing capacity and, by extension maximize torque.
I looked at the Ram, Tundra and Silverado, but the F150 exceed all three in specs.

I bought my F-150 because it's aluminum, it has a plenty of rear leg room in the extended cab model, and because it also has a flat floor under the rear seats. If it weren't for those 3 things, I would be sitting in either a Tundra or Ram 2500. It's crazy how much room there is in the SCAB rear seat. There's more space than a crew cab Tacoma.

I worked as a line tech at a Ford dealer for 11 years and as a result of working on them along side working on just about everything else I found I made more $$ working on everything except Fords, don't get me wrong I worked on a lot of Fords just wasn't near as many issues as all the other brands that found their way to my shop. I grew comfortable with Fords and almost 2nd nature so It was a no brainer for me because I know eventually something is going to break or just plain wear out and I'll be able to fix it with ease.

Now with all that said if someone ever offered this up for sale,.....

I'd buy it in a heart beat.

Checked out Tundra Limiteds multiple times - planned on getting one. Loved the style of them. Looked at Silverados and Sierras - kinda meh all around to me. Never considered the Ram due to safety and reliability ratings. Decided to give a 501A Lariat a test drive, just so I could cross it off the list (I figured F-150s were boring), but I was blown away by how much nicer it was than the Tundra. It was had the moonroof and medium light camel leather, similar to the one I ended up ordering. Felt like a luxury car almost. The 2.7L moved well, and the idea of 20+ mpg on top of that? After that first ride I knew it was what I wanted.

Bought my present F150 because the GM 3/4 ton diesel I had was a pile of junk. Previous experience with Ford convinced me to get another one. Been happy ever since.

Same deal with me. I traded in my POS '16 GMC Canyon Duramax for this F-150. I used to own a 9th gen F-150 and it was bulletproof.

I was a Toyota guy, I had a Tacoma for 4 years and a Tundra the last 8. I went into this purchase with a open mind and took a good look at the Tundras, Sierra and F150s. The F150 just couldn't be topped, it was the full package and had everything I wanted in my new truck. I ended up getting a Lariat Screw 502a package with a 3.5L ecoboost ago a month and I have not regretted it one bit. To be honest I figured I was going to be buying the GM and when I was signing the paper work I was stunned just shaking my head and laughing.
