So What Made You Choose FORD?

I grew up with Fords, learned how to drive in Fords. I've always liked the look of the F-150 over all other half tons. Admittedly I gave Ram some consideration when I was shopping but came to the realization that anything other then Ford is just going to be second best

All I have ever owned are Fords. Before I got my own cars, I would drive my mom's 70's Ford Pickup, Her 86 Mustang, 91 Ranger and even her Aerostar van. My first car was a 1977 Ford Mustang II. I only had it a few months as we could never get the title from the original owner, so I wasn't allowed to take it on the streets, but I did drive it in our development. I then got a 1983 Ford Escort. I hated this piece of junk so much. My senior year in High School my mom gave me the down payment to buy a brand new 1992 Escort. It had 123 miles on it and I think I put 300 on it the first night. A decent little car and could go through almost anything. I then traded it in 2000 for a 98 Ranger XLT. I loved that truck. I was actually sad to trade it in last month on a 2008 F150 STX. I guess I'm very much a Ford guy. I like the looks of the Dodge RAMS, but I've read to many bad things about them.

I have always had a Silverado several as a matter of fact. I have a 13 2500HD for a company truck. NO problem with them.....except they are not as bis inside as a Ford. I am looking for a screw for my personal truck. I have a 2yo son who sits in the back and my Silverado just isn't big enough. My dad has an Avalanche and it's not all that big either. I really wanted an Avalanche but after looking at Ford and Dodge I really think Ford is the bigger. I like the looks of the Dodge but I agree with another poster that said they rust too easy. So I am on the hunt for an F150.

Actually after reading (and laughing) your other thread I bought a Ford because my salesman told me it came with a flux capasitor as standard equipment that activates at 88mph.

I chose my Ford because I couldn't find a chevy in my price range lol
I had always been a chevy guy and didnt like Fords because of a focus I had that just sucked ***** from day one. I bought my first chevy silverado 1500 and loved it, never had a single problem. I ended up selling it and getting into an SUV but eventually needed/wanted a truck. I looked for a chevy but couldnt really find anything in my price range, I happened to test drive an f150 and thought it was really smooth and liked it a lot. pricing was perfect and was the exact thing I was looking for so I pulled the trigger and havent looked back.
Personally I think all cars and trucks have their good and bad to them ( unless its a dodge then its all bad lol) its more up to personal prefrence

My first car was a '65 Mustang, and my dad drove Fords, so I was partial to Fords from the get-go. In the 80's when most domestic cars were crap, I switched to Hondas, mostly because they were well made and they got good gas mileage.
I got to carpool in a Windstar minivan for a few weeks, and I was so impressed with the ride and utility of the thing that I traded my Accord in for one, and although I had to endure all the "soccer mom car" barbs, I still enjoyed it.
A couple of bad winters had me wanting some kind of 4x4, so I traded the Windstar for an Explorer, again keeping with the Ford theme. I loved the Explorer and kept it for 10 years.
The Explorer started having issues typical of a 10 year old vehicle, and I wanted the utility of a pickup, so I started looking at an F150. I had a laundry list of things I was looking for in a pickup, and I vowed to myself I would try all the pickups before choosing one. But the F150 literally had everything I was looking for, and so I didn't bother looking at anything else.
So far the F150 has been everything I've wanted.

I am not brand loyal. I typically buy a product from whoever provides the best customer service. I didn't this time. I bought on looks. I would rather have an inferior product backed by a knowledgeable and helpful service department. I will do a little more research next time. That being said the F150 in my opinion is far superior to the other guys. I drove them all.
