So I was watching the news
Tonight, nothing out of the ordinary. Then they start doing a story about a rash of thefts from a local construction company that has an office right above the autobody shop that's repairing my truck. Talking about how this company had been hit 4 times in the last month and items that were stolen. They said that the theives had made off with 4 flatbed trucks and their thefts weren't all construction items. The part that got my interest was when they said the shop had been hit on Sunday April 6th and showed a flatbed pulling out of the lot with 4 wheels/tires on the back......MY WHEELS AND TIRES! There it was right on the news, caught on camera and the autobody shop hadn't told me a thing about it being caught on camera. The construction company shares the lot with the autobody shop and parks all of their flatbeds in the same lot.
Left a pretty not so nice voicemail on the insurance companies phone Friday saying I had conducted their investigation for them and here was my results of the invesitgation. When I dropped my truck off on 4 March it had wheels & tires, as of 7 April (well 6 April according to the video) it no longer had wheels and tires, investigation complete! I'm about to have the autobody shop start paying for a rental for me because we are well beyond the normal expectation of how long it should take them to repair a minor fender bender. All my parts are in and just waiting for new wheels and tires now. Oh yeah that and they have to replace my ignition because the theives decided to break my old one for some reason. Then they'll have to have the alarm/autostart reprogramed for the new keys. I'll be lucky to have my truck back by 1 June at this rate. At least if I threaten them with paying $35 a day for a rental they'll get to my truck pretty quick.

Dang man that's pathetic. I'm sorry to hear that. I'd do the same thing to have them pay for the rental for you. I hate when body shops take their sweet time fixing a vehicle.

All thieves caught shoud be strung up by their toes dipped in hobney cut with a thousand razor blades layed in an ant bed and have salt poured on them. Then the real torture should start.
