Thanks for the insight.

My biggest shock from the comments is the mpgs. Who would have guessed that the mpgs are so close to same with the F150s.

Bass...Great detailed comments based on your experience. This is the information I was hoping to get.

I am still several years out and as others, I'm looking forward to seeing results on the upcoming Ranger... and possibly the Bronco. I do however, use the bed a lot so the Bronco may not be an option for me.

Thanks again guys...Good comments.

2.7 Ecoboost Ranger

Still a year or two away though.

The new Wrangler Pickup (also a wait) might be an option too if hauling is truly minimal and off-road performance paramount.

Maybe a Ute as they refer to them in Oz.

I don't consider a Rampage or a VW Pickup a truck either.

I would say the Tacoma. My buddy just bought a 2015 and he likes it a lot how compact and much easier to drive it is. Although off-roading stock is medium because he bottomed out a lot in mud because of the height

I'd say if you can manage it waiting for the new Ranger.

Check out The Fast Lane Truck YouTube channel and website. They do a lot on the mid size truck offerings.

v4? LOL you mean 4v, there's no such thing as a Ford v4 only an I4. I assume your talking about a 4 valve engine.

To the OP You will regret going to a smaller truck.
