Default slim style sub/amp combo?

i wanna buy a 8inch sub that comes kinda built into the amp itself with a bass switch. i like it because i could put it under the seat and should be an easy install. has anyone bought anything like that? do they work decent, i just want a little bump?

I have a 8" sub in a ported box I built myself running 400 watts rms and it will easily out perform 2 10's in a sealed enclosure. I would not waste your money on a all in one box/amp system unless you are just wanting to fill in the lower frequency that your door speakers are missing. Hope that helps

I had been doing alot of research into them myself. Like tkh73 stated, they will fall somewhere between your regular speakers, and subs.
Good to fill in the deeper bass, but there isn't much if any "punch" to them.

If you are really pressed for space, and want something easily removed, and ease of hookup, this one is getting great reviews.

i would not buy that sub if i was you, it is very cheaply made and wont last very long from what i have seen, the amp is not too bad, the sub is just made horribly, weak surround, half glued tripple joints, paper cone etc...what year is your truck? are you wanting soemthing for under the seat? and do you have basic install/woodworking skills?

I added the b -8pt to my 2010 supercrew. Fits perfectly under the front seat, easy install and make a very big difference in the quality of sound. I wrote up the install here :

For $200 and 1hour install time, I'm quite happy.
