Sirius/XM - Sirius channels only
Recently found out that Sirius/XM manufacturers two types of satellite radios; a Sirius ONLY version and a Sirius/XM version. The different is that the Sirius ONLY version cannot get all the channels. Many of the sport "play by play" channels are only available on the Sirius/XM version.
Guess what version we have in our Ford's? Sirius ONLY version.
So when I purchase the "All Access" package, my radio is unable to get all access. Particularly frustrating in Football season (main college games) and NHL. This took me a lot of time on Sirius/XM customer service to discover this.
Why in the world would they produce two different radios?
Why does Ford have the sub-standard version in the vehicles?
Why is Sirius/XM selling me a package which I cannot get what the package describes?
Sent email to Ford and Sirius/XM; no response as of now.
Does this bother anyone else?

And I'd much rather have decent HD radio instead of a crappy Sirius/XM tuner. Every time I try to listen to it, I can't stand the horrid sound quality. Good thing I've got a USB hard drive with 10,000+ songs on it....

You should be getting NFL games. I do. Plus, their streaming service ($3 per month) has everything plus some more internet only channels.

Mine doesn't because it is a Canadian Truck. I know you had to upgrade to the Electronics Package on my 2013 Mustang for the HD radio so I would imagine it was an Option the Dealer didn't add to your truck when It was ordered.

2008 F150 does not have both... at least not stock

Try getting channels 185 - 203 or anything higher than 219. Those are used for college football and NHL play by play

Sirius and XM were two different companies with two different satellite systems. That has caused legacy issues like you discovered. I wouldn't call the Sirius only system sub-standard.

Yes Online and Bluetooth is an option but sometimes the app has issues. Two weeks in a row I missed games I wanted to listen to on the app but I got "channel is temporarily unavailable, please try again later".
