well i just bought my 5th f150 (4th lariat) and it's a really nice truck. It's a 2012 lariat and going great. My question is have they stopped including the black adhesive sill protectors for the front doors? My 08,07, and my '02 all came with these at least at the dealership and I assume from the manufacture site but on this one i just got a strip of white tape!

Part number from Ford Accessories is CL3Z-15132A08-AA, retail price is $34.99.

I've installed a set on the front sills of my 2013 FX4...and have a second set for the rear.

The rear will require some trimming and shaping as the rear door sill is not the same length or shape as the front.

Sounds like the dealer hasn't removed the protective cover.(the white tape) pull that off and see if you don't have the black sill protectors underneath.My '10 & '12 XLT's came with them.

I don't have em on my 2012 FX4. But I notice that in some of these, the trucks don't have steps.

I wonder if the truck doesn't come with steps, you get the sills? idk.

I would like to have a set, seems easy to scratch that area if you aren't careful.
