It may seem that a lot of people have this cam phaser problem based on the posts in the 04-08 section, but you also have to realize that most people that join the forum joined because they have a problem. Most people that are happy with their trucks don't join the forum because they have no problems with theirs.
+1000 on that brother......

Also, to the OP......If everyone based their purchasing decisions on issues others have had, or issues which ALL vehicle manufacturers have had, then no one would buy anything. Enjoy your truck purchase Bud...

I have "THE TICK" have for the last 30k. I am not in any hurry to fix it because it really does not effect anything. My '04 has 218,000 miles on it. Still starts and runs strong. Pulls my 30ft camper to any state I want to go to. I have no worries about putting my family in this truck and going anywhere there are roads and a few places there are not roads. It has served me extremely well over the years!

Enjoy the truck! Finding one with that low mileage is unheard of because us F150 owners drive them for a long time!

They fixed the issues for 07/08... You should be fine. Relax and enjoy the truck

My 04 did it from they day I bought it (used) and probably still would if it wasn't totalled. I wouldn't worry about it even if you had it.

Quick update folks. I really appreciate all of your collective input. I really do like this truck, and so I have let go of the cam phasor thing. Starting to make it "mine". Switched to all synthetics this week. LineX, Weathertech are now in place. Mounting M&P in console this weekend. Terra Grapplers (275 60 20) on order. Now......anyone have a good source for seat heaters??

Could look into some of these. Ran across them back when I had my Dodge but sold the truck before I ever tried a pair. The have 3 different universal kits.

The link and a price from these guys. From the part # it appears to be the 3 position model.

From the manufacturerer, about 1/2 way down the page you will see the link for all 3 models

I will probly put a pair of these in my '08 before winter hits. I really miss heated seats!
