Shorter antenna options ??

Yesterday for the heck of it I tried FM with no antenna (I plugged the hole with a plastic cap and have been running it that way for a while), I actually was getting most of the same stations as I was with a stubby. Some of you should give it a try, truck looks nice with nothing there and you can run it through a carwash. Plastic cap is part of an auto-body clip set but can be had at Lowe's or an auto part store for under $1.

I'll take a pic tomorrow. The plug is about the same size as the brass piece the antenna screws in, fits in snugly but is easy to come out. I might still have the part bag in came in too, I think there were two in the bag so maybe you can find a friend and go halfsies haha.

Just this weekend a friend asked if it was a retractable antenna, he only knew it wasn't stock because I had to move the old antenna for the girls to sit in the back seat. It looks better in person, I thought the 5"-ish stubby antennas looked more out of place TBH.
