Pretty hard to make a 6 cylinder sound like a v8. And the louder the v6 the worse it sounds.

Not happening. Leave stock... The louder you make it the worse off you will be.

I installed a 4" MBRP exhaust on my fathers ecoboost. Granted, it does not sound like a V8, but it sounds darn good. I think (not for sure) that the larger diameter pipe lowers the exhaust note. This makes it sound less ricey and more deep.

Going to sound like allthe little buzz bee cars. I have heard all the aftermarket exhausts on ecos, and none sound good. Your best option is doing the resonator delete pipe.

OP, it won't ever sound like a V8, because it isn't one. The larger diameter pipe you go with though, will get you a deeper tone.

A V6 Sounds just as much like a ricer as it does a V8, it's not a 4cyl Civic. It is just different and not to the liking of some. I could take it or leave it when it comes to the tone of the Eco.

When the time comes, mine will get a complete exhaust replacement including downpipes. It will be for performance and not sound. I will probably run a larger muffler and a resonator to keep the volume down.

I'm going with the Full Race set up, just waiting for our ridiculous dollar to rebound a bit. I heard the AFE system is nice as well.

Get a new Lariat and keep the windows rolled up. Ford was nice enough to pump a V8 sound through the stereo.
