Coming from the diesel world for 8 years...... Need some 3.5L Eco performance schooling

CAI.....dry flow or oiled? Which is the best and why?

TB.... Stock flow plenty? What MM size is stock?

Programmers........ What octane fuel, what off the shelf programmers, etc?

What about spark plugs......what brand and gap?

Lightbulb

HINT/TIP: You'll find posting in the following (depending upon year)
Late Model F150s > 2009 - 2014 > 2011+ Engine Related Questions
-or-
Late Model F150s > 2015 Ford F150
section more helpful/appropriate than General F150 Discussion posts.

Or a good ol' search!!!
CAI are not worth the money, stock plugs gapped at (see above), tuners are your best bet. Every one has their own favorite brand / tune.

Enjoy!

I was hoping to save $400 and not "need" a CAI

Maybe I'll look for a higher flowing stock drop in filter

I've always like dry flow filters for turbocharged motors...... Oiled scare me

I was thinking of a drop in, but the Airaid SynthaMax Dry kit:
http://www.airaid.com/instructions/A...239-1_inst.pdf

http://www.airaid.com/search/product...prod=403-239-1

Part No. 403-239-1 seems to flow more, and is $220 shipped

The AFE dry flow drop in alone is $75 shipped

These run $30-$32 for all 6

Can the stickers be re-gapped at 20,000 miles or should they just be replaced?
