Great looking truck there. I'm not as familiar with the 6.4 as I am the 6.0, but i know that part of the 6.0's downfall was also the headstuds. I hope that was an issue resolved on the 6.4's because I've heard lots of great things about them. Also when you do the EGR delete are you planning on doing it yourself or sending it in to a shop?

I know that headstuds are not as big of an issue as they were on 6.0s (same for EGR) but still probably a good idea for building the truck. Speaking of, there's a guy around here with a 1,300 horsepower 6.4! I don't have any real plans for the truck aside from a leveling kit and bigger 35"s for the stock 20"s. Waiting for a 5" exhaust too. As for my Sinister EGR delete, I'm going to do it myself. Have a coworker who is a mechanic and has done a lot to his 6.0 on his own, so I'll most likely do it with a hand from him.

Good luck and looking forward to seeing the progress on it. Have fun taking the cab off for that EGR delete

Can stays on for the EGR delete. Actually can be done in 3-5 hours with tools from what I'm hearing. Guess we'll wait and see. And thanks!

Head studs are larger or the 6.4 and also more of them.Lessons were learned on the 6.0,and they went larger with almost everything on the 6.4

Looks like a Job 3 truck. Hopefully it is. I would definitely do the EGR delete, but do the EGR delete without a DPF delete to go with it.. Throw a Spartan tuner on it too and have some tire shredding fun.
