Truck is still under warranty, but dealer won't cover it because mechanic claims its from road salt. As for rear leak in cab, just called me and said they are having rear window pulled and revealed on Thursday, but how can it be the window when it is leaking on the roof in upper corner....can't wait to see what they try and Bill me for, they think because I am a woman I am stupid.....

Sounds like it's time to loop in a regional customer service manager for the leaking concern, tardan. They'll work with you and the dealer to reach the best resolution. Please send me a private message with your full name, VIN, servicing dealership, and best daytime contact number so I can get started.

So now, new window and seal new brake light seal. Got truck back, leaked again. Now back to the pop rivet! Put a bunch of sealer on the rivet. Fixed the leak, but my headliner was a mess. Took 2 weeks for Ford to agree to put a new headliner in my truck. This is my 4th F150. I have had an 86, 92, and an 02. This 2013 will be my last Ford Truck!!
This sounds frustrating, 65mustang. To be certain, have all repairs been made on your truck? If not, please fill me in with current vehicle symptoms. Additionally, all I need is a private message with your full name and best daytime contact number to document some feedback, dealer or otherwise, which is reviewed internally. I'm glad to do all I can to assist.

After reading all these threads, I thought what the heck, so I jumped in my box last week and popped off the third brake light. I have a 2013 FX4 supercrew...anyway, I was surprised to see there was fine dirt covering all the inside of the light gasket...which tells me that water has been penetrating past the gasket. I say I was surprised because this isn't a new problem and folks been complaining about this for a few years now and Ford still hasn't done anything about it?

Anyway, a good bead of clear silicone around the light gasket and she's sealed up good. I'll probably need a utility blade to cut through it if a light goes out but thats easier than rusted out panels.

Default 2010 f150 water and rust

Well, it's been almost two weeks since the dealer has my truck, still haven't gotten it back , they took it to a body shop to have rear window pulled and resealed...didn't work, than the body shop was working on rain stripe on left side of cab, guessing the cab seam is split...what next....am real sick of this..want it back so I can get rid of it....

its most likely upper rear corner of cab,,there a indent with black rubber or plastic...went through the whole deal with my 2010 f150...brake gasket...rear window resealed...finally figured out the seam was split there

I used clear outdoor silicone and sealed the crap out of the third brake light housing and satellite antenna.

I was seeing water and dirt in my 2014 3rd brake light.

So far the silicone is doing the trick.

All Ford will do is put the same gasket back in and the problem will not be resolved.

Default rear window leak

I just bought a used 2009 f150 XLT and had it's first car wash today. Yup, it's a leaker.

I cannot remember if I shared my resolution.

It turned out to be my back window seal that was leaking. I had to pull the headliner to figure it out. I just used clear silicone and sealed it. I could have taken it to be pulled and put back in but that cost more than a tube of silicone.

I took off the 3rd brake light and attempted to put clear silicone all along the edge of the gasket. Hopefully I did a good enough job. What if I want to take the light off again w/ the silicone on there? Is that going to be a problem?
