as a die hard bama fan i was real impressed with gilbert, theres not a tougher situation for a quarterback to come into then what he did and he handled it very well. I personally wanted McCoy to come back in, the kid deserved it and if we were to have beat Texas with McCoy we wouldnt have to hear we only won because he was out. However that obviously didnt happen and Texas would have played so different with McCoy in, but everyone seems to forget Alabama would have played very differently also. We slacked up more with Gilbert then we ever would have done with McCoy. Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer Give Em Hell Alabama!

Are you sure? McCoy's two best games this year: 311 yards, 1 TD, 4 INT, with a QB rating of around 83. Yea keep telling yourself that he would have made that much of a difference. Remember, our D had to adjust because preparations were for McCoy, so our defensive game plan had to be adjusted just like Texas' offensive game plan. I was very impressed with Gilbert and he is going to be fun to watch the next few years. Rematch next year maybe?? RTR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was for bama but just because theyre in the sec( GEAUX TIGERS!), and for all the excuses about mccoy getting injured are bs. Players get injured in football games all the time... its part of the game.
