Default Rock Auto or Amazon for Automotive Needs

I live out in the country and often times I order my parts online since it is most convenient around my busy schedule. I have compiled a list of Motorcraft fluids I need to replace in my 2013 F150. For an order of Motorcraft coolant, trans fluid, and transfer case fluid, this time around was much cheaper on Rock Auto even with the shipping cost it was still 50-60 dollars cheaper. However recently I ordered wheel bearing and hub assemblies, and IWEs from Amazon as it was cheaper. Do you all on here do the same, find yourself going back and fourth between Amazon and Rock Auto playing price wars?

A lot of auto parts on Amazon are third party sellers anyway. ALWAYS look under the price for "sold by" and "shipped by". Nothing wrong with 3rd party sellers but I am trying to make you realize that when you buy from Amazon a lot of times you aren't really buying from Amazon.

Even not living out of the country I shop everything I buy online. Fluids like you are buying are heavy - the shipping charges from different vendors can vary greatly - pay attention to that.

Ive used both, just depends on who is cheapest at the time and how soon I need it. I buy my MC oil from Walmart, stock up when they have it in stock!

I've used Rock Auto, Parts Geek, Amazon and ebay for my automotive needs. For tires it's Tire Rack and Discount Tire Direct.

Rock Auto is by far the cheapest I have found for Motorcraft Fluids. The shipping was expensive but it was still cheaper than anywhere else that I have found.

I've come to trust Rock Auto's look up for part numbers and comparables. After that, all sites are fair game.

I use whomever in cheaper in the end. I find Rock Auto as generally higher and Amazon can be expensive as well. I use Levittown Ford a lot for my Boss Mustang and other Fords I have and usually get a Forum discount on many parts. Shop around but just make sure your comparing apples to apples.

With RockAuto, a lot of times it depends on how far you are from different warehouses. If all your parts are coming from close to you warehouses, and you choose the cheapest ship method, very reasonable prices.
