Smile Rim "Curb Rash" Repairing

I have the 20" plus rims on my Lariat (Chrome package). Somehow- them curbs just jump right at me. (and same on my wife's Lincoln).

Question for y'all:

Is there a way or places that can "grind/sand/polish these rims to make them look good again and not throw them out of balance? Seems I get "dazed looks" when I ask that question here in SC..

Gotta be something- (Or I need to invent something)

I found several places in SC that do wheel repair on the net.
Had experience with wheel repair on my GT500, ( N.J. ), the place I used was a national chain. A truck picked up the wheel & brought it back several days later. That was ( 8 ) years ago & it cost me $ 200.00.................Good luck..

As mentioned, yes. I had to have one of mine fixed after just 2 weeks of owning the truck when someone inched out and tapped the back passenger's side of the truck. Cost was $150 for a complete strip, repair and repaint of the wheel.

I'm a long ways from SC but locally I've used NW Wheel Repair -- http://www.nwwheelrepair.com.

I will double check, I asked the guy who did the rims on my wife's car- There is a "RIMS place", however, "sketchy" part of town that i don't care to visit. Sometimes, looks can be deceiving... Who knows.. Thanks everyone

You didn't say where in South Carolina, but if you're close to Charlotte these guys are amazing, I've had them do similar repairs on previous vehicles:

I am near Charleston. Charlotte quite a ride. Thanks. Will keep looking. Might stop at that rim place on way home. They may now and it’s daylkght.

Went to the Rim Place and found a place nearby and they seem to be a nation chain. “Kwicksilver”. Will see how they work out. Depending on cost will determine repair or replace.

If anyone has used this company and good/bad let me know. I know franchises can vary.
