After seeing posts on this forum about the private cash i requested the brochure...it came and i got the offer at the back.

I was just informed that Ford is not honoring it for the F150. The dealer has a copy of it that i provided them, its wording does not exclude the F150 but it does specify other Fords that are excluded.

This is very disapointing.

Anyone else run into this lately ?

I wonder if the dealer is trying to keep that $750 for themselves. I would call Ford directly and see what's up.

They sent me some information that seams to support there claim. I was told " we have lost a few deals to this issue"...the problem i am having is they knew i had it for a couple of weeks and never bothered to mention it was no good. If they knew about it after i mentioned it two weeks prior, they would have told me sooner. But, the documentation they provided supports what they say. Even though the fine print on the private cash ticket states otherwise. Also, its attached to the F150 brocure which to me tells me its gtg.

I will contact Ford in the morning, i also have another dealer checking to see if its valid or not.

I used the $750 private cash offer along with the other rebates that were available a few weeks ago on my 2012 F150. That was the end of September. I dont know if the programs changed for October. Good luck.

What truck were you buying? The Raptor is specifically excluded, as are most of the SVT/S lines.

I got the coupon sent direct from a local dealer, after I inquired specifically about the 2013 F150, so I am assuming it should work fine. Same Vincent code as the one that came in the brochure they sent.

You say you saw literature that supports the claim. From who? What exactly did it say? I just received a 2013 f150 brochure in the mail 2 days ago. It would be pretty hilarious if they turned around and said "JK troll face lulzies!"

I called Ford this morning and explained the situation. They confirmed the Private cash offer was good and was valid on the 2012 F150 XLT i picked. The problem was with the dealer, what exactly it was i do not know. But within a few hours the sale rep called me back and had the coupon issue fixed and was taking delivery of the truck at 4pm today.

I am headed their tomorrow to do the paperwork and pick it up.

Again, they knew 2.5 weeks ago i had the coupon and was using it. To say at zero hour (48 hours prior to the coupon expiring) that it was not good and that they had lost sales to this coupon issue in the past, did not pass the smell test with me. The sales rep seems like a good guy, i just think they totally dropped the ball on this. I called Ford and in two minutes i got an answer.

The paperwork i was sent was the print out of the system ( 3 pages) showing the code for the coupon and all my info, yet of all the cars / trucks listed, Ford F150 was not listed...no Fords were listed only Lincoln models. The dealer did tell me to check with another dealer, but his system indicates its not valid. I did check with another dealer and they said it was vaild.

Shenanigins ? I do not know. I guess i will find out tomorrow when i go get it if the price has changed what we agreed to.

Thank you for posting, this probably saved me $750 because i was going to buy anyway because its a fair price and the incentives are 5k for me without the $750.
