Hi- looking for some advice: I have a 2014 XLT SCREW and I love the tow mirrors that came on it (bought used) but I HATE the chrome. Does anyone know if you can buy replacement covers/skins for these? I have thought of plasti-dipping them but I have never used it before and I a skeptical of it looking really cheesy. There doesn't seem to be a name brand on them, I am going to see if I can take them apart and identify a brand as soon as the weather breaks.

Same question for the door handles... same issue.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

They look like aftermarket stick on chrome covers, if so held on with 2 sided tape. But I could be wrong. Have you tried to pry them off?

Which is odd because it doesn't say it's for 1a mirrors, but that stock picture in the walmart product is definitely not OEM tow mirrors.

Looks like a cap that is probably held on my 3M or something

Definitely a chrome cap. Just like previous posters mentioned, just pull them off and you'll have a nice black tow mirror.
Same goes for the handles. The handle itself is factory chrome so you wont be able to pull that off, but the handle surround is an aftermarket piece stuck on.

If I can just pry them off I will be pretty happy. I’ll give it a try and post back here. Not so sure on the handles though, I think those are factory chrome for the tuxedo black package.

now I just need to find a set of black bumpers for a reasonable cost....
