Replaced Fuel sending unit - Tank isn't reading completely full

Replaced Fuel sending unit - Tank isn't reading completely full
Okay, I have a 2010 F150 STX Supercab. 4x4. 4.6
I have recently replaced the fuel sending unit in my extend range gas tank. it wasn't working, my gas gauge would read all over the map.
So, now it's in.. However when I fill the tank completely full, it reads just under the full line.
I can't figure out why that would be, it's the right part. I ordered the one for the single tank, had to send it back. This one is definitely for the extended range gas tank.
It won't read over full like it used to when I filled it to the brim, just under the mark now, Any ideas?????
