Default Removing right side front axle shaft from differential

I have a 1993 Ford F150; 4wd. Dana 44 front end. I am replacing ball joints and axle shaft universals. I have the right side axle shaft off. I cannot get the stub axle shaft off of the differential. What is the trick? Thanks!

Big pry bar or a big hammer. They have a snap ring you need to knock out of the groove, sometimes they take a little force.
