You can see on the outer parts it is the same color as well where the adhesive was thinner than the center. I'm sure glad the dealership badge they put on my truck's tailgate was attached with double-sided tape. If this is how they would have put it on there, I might've killed someone.
back it "the day" dealerships you'll actually drill and either rivet or screw their badges onto the cars. I'm talking way back, like the '70's! My Mom bought a Mustang 2 brand new and it was rusting out around the badge within a few years. Same for a '69 Firebird we had.

Even if you can't get it off and it damages the liner. It can be touched up. Have the shop that installed it take a look and repair as necc. Did they ask your permission to put an "advertisement" on your truck?
It is definitely not tape but an epoxy, yeah. The truck was purchased late 2015 and the liner was put in a little after that. I'm not the original owner of the vehicle, I only purchased it a few months ago. It's a shame because this bed liner was done in a very professional and clean manner. Couldn't have asked for a better one aside from the factory spray in liners they have on some.

Slightly shorter than the badge that I pulled off the top. The badge is actually made of rubber and did not take much effort to pull off. I'm surprised it hasn't actually fallen off on it's own seeing as how hot it can become here in the summer.

The stuff that used is like a rubber epoxy. You squirt it in, it gets into nooks and crannies, it cures, it stays.

You might need to take after the corners with a razor blade, get a finger under it and pull it off a chunk at a time.

I had a 2016 F150 with the Line-x spray in liner and didn't want the yellow badge left on. I pried it off and had adhesive left on. I finally got most of it off using starting fluid, steel wool and a wire brush. It took a lot of scrubbing. Just be real careful. I then went over the area with a black permanent marker and rubbed it in. You couldn't even tell it had been there. When I had my current 2017 sprayed with Line-x, I told them not to put the yellow badge on and no sticker on the back glass.

Well at this point I've accepted defeat and don't want to potentially do any damage on the liner using harsher chemicals or scrubbing techniques. I guess I'll just stick another badge I just received over it. I'm sure someone will ask me what the heck its doing on the sidewall of my bed but whatever, haha. I'm planning on buying a new tonneau cover soon.

This was the only badge I was able to find that related to the vehicle and had a large enough size to cover the adhesive streak.
