Remote Start 2014 F150 base model no power locks or windows
First off thanks for all the great info over the years!
Im looking at installing a remote start in my plain jane 2014 F150 4x4, no power windows or locks, just a plain base model truck. ive read through several forums about remote starts and it seems pretty easy. my questions is can the plug and play systems be used in my truck where I don't have power locks and windows? I definitely don't want to install power locks just to get the remote start...... I guess im just looking for someone that has maybe tackled this option before I start, and to lead me in the right direction out of the gate. if someone has installed in a base model do you have any vendors you recommend for ease of install for myself. thanks in advance!

I think a 3rd party remote start would be your best bet.

Remote start is built into your truck. You can enable it with a $30 adapter and free piece of software that goes on a laptop. You just need an antenna for behind the glovebox, a key with remote start button, and possibly the hood pin switch because you have an XL.

yeah that was my only what if..... since I don't have power locks if everything would still work correctly. any ideas where I could get more info? I may just have to stop into a ford dealership and ask but we don't really have any bigger dealerships in my neck of the woods......
