Default Does this 2018 Lariat look totaled?

Apologies if this is not posted in the right section. Long story short, in a very unfortunate accident a person ran a red light and I T-boned them going 55 mph. It's going to be about a week at least before the insurance company appraiser can get back to me on whether to repair the truck or go for settlement. The MSRP was $54K USD. Unfortunately, I didn't get any side pics of the truck. There didn't seem to be any damage to the side panels. Should I be looking around for another truck?

Thanks everyone!

Depending if the front frame rales are bent or not. Make sure you also go after the person for depreciated value.

Glad your OK...hope the at fault driver has insurance.

I would say it is definitely totaled. If the insurance doesn't total, I would definitely be trading it because it will not be the same.

Good Luck

It's impossible to tell from pics on the internet. Insurance companies have different values that they assign before totaling a vehicle. Some will not total if the estimate is less than 75% of the current value. There are a lot of variables and there's no way to know without knowing the extent of the damage. Being an 18, there's going to have to be a ton of damage to total it. Not saying it's not possible, just no way to tell.

something triggered those side curtain bags to blow.

I wonder if there's frame damage. That'll be the key.

I'd start shopping.

Its certainly fixable, but IMO the insurance company isnt going to mess with it.

Wow! What a mess. It looks like you hit them on the drivers side. Is the bad driver OK?
