Just had dealer confirm, glass needs to be replaced, not covered since out of warranty. Extended power train warranty only which it doesn't fall under.

You may not want to hear this but you dont want it anyway.....the rear defroster has a tendency to shatter the back window....

From what I've read yes I think but the issue is that if you use the remote start the rear defroster comes on automatically....

When I use my remote starter mine does not come on....

Hmm...Ive read a bunch of stuff here that said it did...I haven't picked mine up yet so I can't tell you from experience.

There's a setting that let's you have it turn on or keep it off with remote start. I have mine set to not come on. I always wait till the interior is nice and warmed up before i turn it on.

Well thats definitely good to know because there are people on here saying you basically have to pull out the back seat and unplug to rear defroster. I'm going to have a 1 year old and a baby in the truck I cant have back windows shattering.
