Rear window derfrost denied -- need ford service rep help !
#1

So I went to dealer with rear defroster not working. Said they could not replace it even though I have ford Premium Care ESP. said the grid in the window itself was broken and ford would not authorize it since I didn't choose glass coverage... which wasn't even an option to choose only extended warranty add on for lighting.
My thing is this is an electrical issue I see it as and should be replaced if I have the warranty
FORD REP CAN YOU HELP ME ?

Ford F150's are know for this, I think between 2009-2014, everyone is trying to get Ford to replace the whole window, which is the only way to fix the issue. Some how my rear window was shattered one morning, good thing I had glass coverage though my vehicle insurance and was able to get the window replaced.

Mine started acting up over the weekend. Seems like it comes on with the remote start, but the light doesn't light up when I push it. Can't tell if its working since its already clear by the time I get out there.

If the light does not come on, most likely it's not working.

How bad is the grid broken? There is actually a repair kit we use at times to fix broken spots in the defrost grid, but we never know for sure that it's going to work and we let the customer know that and they must acknowledge that...
Yea there is no coverage for glass issues on any Ford ESP that I'm aware of.

It's not the grid, there's something else that goes, not sure what that is though. There's no way to fix it, the whole window needs to be replaced. If you do a search here on it, there's a lot of talk about it, there might have been some one who did get Ford to replace it, but don't hold me to that.
