This is a known issue and it IS covered by Ford ESP. The causal failure part number is H42006 if I remember correctly. If the dealer used the base part number for the glass it will show denial in coverage every time, but the H42006 shows coverage on OASIS. We always had to do prior approval because it was over our cost cap so I could verify coverage ahead of time. We've done a number of them under ESP.
If you send me your VIN I can verify coverage also.

I am the former service director at a dealership yes, the defrost grid itself does not show up as a part number. I just used my Mother's Edge to run OASIS for coverage with premiumcare.
ESP PART NUMBER H42006 - BACK GLASS (HEATED)
PART COVERED BY ONE OR MORE ACTIVE CONTRACT(S)
That is how the dealer has to code it. If they use the glass part number it will show no coverage every time.
