Default Rear screw drivers side seat doesn’t want to stay up

the rear fold up seat bottom doesn’t want to stay up, it’s like the catch isn’t locking in, you have to really slam it up and then pull the release real hard to get it to release .
my other one you could do with one finger

which side is it? If its the passenger side, make sure the seat back is fully latched in place

I just looked at it again, the smaller one on the passengers side you can put up with one finger and it locks up then release with the lever with one finger.
the other side you have to slam it up then pull like a banchee to release.
I think what it is is the armrest that pulls down out of the back of the seat is thick and it sticks out a little so you can push the bottom of the seat against it enough to compress it.
I tried to push in the armrest but it’s as far as it goes
