Default "Rear axles and clicking in center pin"

Hello and thanks all in advance!

I have a 2015 4x4 F150 that only has 33, 000 miles, bought new. Ive noticed a subtle noise in the rear of my truck when at low speeds and I took it in to the dealer. They mentioned no harm being done, just "Rear axles and clicking in center pin" they did not seem to take the noise seriously and basically dismissed it as normal wear and tear. Is this normal or signs of a bigger problem? Could the noise be the leaf springs or something else? Thanks!

Must be talking about the pin that runs through the spider gears, but you shouldn't hear the axles clicking against it. Hard to tell what they mean sometimes.

Your rear axles have c-clips and have a little bit of play back and forth maybe that's what they're talking about?

On a 2015 no LSD was available for consumer sales (Fleet might offer it). He would have either an open carrier or an Elocker.

Make sure the visit was documented in the computer and you get a copy of the paperwork. Seek a 2nd and possibly 3rd opinion. Again complaint documented in the computer and copy of paperwork to you. That way you are covered if it goes belly up 300 mi out if of warranty. That said the axle should be covered 5 years / 60,000 mi (+ ESP Coverage if you have it) so it's not like you only have 3,000 mi to get it sorted.

Did 'they' remove the rear diff. cover to come to that vague conclusion?

With only 33k miles, IMO differential clicking should not be
dismissed it as normal wear and tear
I'd definitely get a 2nd opinion from another dealership.
If they say something similar, at least you'll have two sets of documentation if the diff. self destructs after the power train warranty.

They will probably look on the computer and see what the first dealership said or call them, then tell you the same thing.
