Default Re Gearing Help!!!!!!!!

Hey guys I am new to this site and I was inquiring on some suggestions for my truck. I just put an 8inch BDS lift with 37's. how ever I am worried i amy ruin something if i don't re gear my truck. i have thought about it but i am not sure if it is completely necessary. i have noticed a loss in power and in MPG. Are there any up grades that i can do to fix this or would re gearing solve all those problems? if you all could help i would greatly appreciate it.

Is your truck 4x4? If you have a 2wd you d only need new gears for the rear axle and it'll be about half the price.

Personally I 'd do it either way. You'll have a more enjoyable driving experience and so will your transmission.

it is a 4x4. yea that does sound like it would probly be the better solution but do you have any idea of what gears I should be running. someone told me that I should use something like a 433 or something like that but I have no idea on that.

Here's a link to calculators:

Keep in mind that even with regearing your axles (which I think is essential), you'll still experience some loss of performance due to the mass & weight of those oversize tires & wheels.

minimum 4.56 but probably 4.88s for that truck.

i ran 4.56 on my 07 when it had 35s on it and it had good power

do you all know were I could possibly get the best deal for this kind of gear ratio? also if I decide that I just absolutely cannot afford it right now then would it detrimental to my truck or not really?
