RCI Skid Plate with Rough Country Hidden Mount System?
Has anyone put that combination on their truck? I have a 2013 STX with the 5.0L and want to set up my rig that way. My concern is that the hidden winch mount will interfere with the front plate.

No issue, you're good to go. I asked RCI.

I'll be doing the same with my Eco. I have a Full-race intercooler so I can mount the same winch mount and will be ordering up RCI skids soon.
Still deciding on what winch. It won't be used a whole lot, but I know will come in handy on some of the trails.

I'm in the same boat. For me it might get used once a year on my hunting trips or when I go up and see my folks in Northern Idaho during Christmas. I was looking at the Badland (Harbor Freight) 12k lb winch, on sale right now for $300. The reviews that I've read are pretty decent, just that it's slow but tough and that it has a pretty low duty cycle. The nice thing about the winch is that you can get the extended warrantee for less than $80 and replace the winch in two years, no questions ask.
I'm kind of leaning towards a Rough Country or Smitty 9.5k lb winch though, for what I stated above and because the Badlands winch has a pretty short winch cable of 65'. How big of a winch are you looking at getting?

I'm looking for a 9.5k or 10k lb winch. Still in search mode, even though it won't get used much, I want to make sure it has a free spool lever that I can actually get at if needed.
If you're looking to pull the trigger right away, SmittyBuilt is having a sale right now. I'm in Canada, so looking at buying via 4Wheel parts.
Interested in this one, but have to make sure it will clear with the hidden mount.
This is one that I'm looking at

Thanks for the heads up, I decided to pull the trigger on a Smittybuilt XRC-9.5k with the synthetic rope. I plan to make a cover for it for rain protection and putting on 10-15' of webbing for UV and abrasion protection.
