Same thing with my 13 after I re-flashed it about a year ago, there has been a new strategy release since then so I flashed it and my fans seem to have gone back to normal, but it's been cooler here so I can't say for certain if it's that or the new calibration from Ford.

Well this is quite promising. Rnlcomp do you perform the flashes yourself? I made an appointment with the the Ford dealership but I think i'm going to switch it up to my go to mechanic given my warrantee has expired.

Yes, I have the same computer the dealer uses. IDS. If your mechanic don't have IDS he can use a J2534 Pass-thru Device

Information about it on this link http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdi...utsid=pubs_pcm

Bumping up an old thread because I'm having the same issue in my 2012 fx4 with increased frequency of the fan coming on, increase in the amount of time it's running (whether the AC/Heat is on or not) and the increase in the sound level of the fan as if its spinning much faster.

All of this has come about in the last 2 months and I've witnessed it happen at all different temperature ranges from below freezing to mid 90's and there's no correlation.

Anyone found what the issue is? I spoke to one of the tech's at my local dealership and he said it's possible that there's too much pressure in the AC system which triggers it to come on.

I also have a 2011 F150 and I am having a similar issue.

I replaced a blower motor and controller. AC was running warm so recharged that. AC cuts out on max setting still and the fan under the hood is loud and comes on all the time.

Any help would be appreciated.

It is in the 70s. So a little. But noticed the fan in early morning when it was in the 40s. Right after I turned the truck on.

it comes on with AC and defrost. Coolant levels are at the lines indicated. And gauges are at middle when all warmed up.
