I made my own "invisicord" using the same type of terminals and cord. I'm just using the regular V1 mounting bracket off center behind/below the mirror. It tucks up and out of the way. I also pivoted the mirror post up as high as it would go to start with.

I have used a blendmount in my 2007 Mustang since I bought it in late 2006. I have never had to adjust or tighten the thing even once. It has been perfect. I liked it so much I put one in my F-150 about 6 months ago. Again perfect. I have never seen a mount as solid as this thing is if its properly installed. If you want the best mount on the planet... Get a Blendmount!

My biggest issue with my blend mount was it shook pretty good at times, and everything was tight. It would sometimes just kind of bounce. Doesn't mean all do. Sorry it's a crappy pic and it took me so long. Thought of it earlier this morning. This shows the gist of it. Up high, works like a charm, and hidden behind the limo tint.

In the past when I have had the windshield replaced, I just got them to save the bracket for me (with a little broken glass and epoxy stuck to it). Soak it in MEK overnight, flick the glass and epoxy off and it was ready to use again.
