i'm assuming it's being held on by a suction cup?

I would maybe try something that has a "locking" suction cup rather than ones that you just press on.

This is the answer; it's an AWESOME mount, but it is relatively pricey.

I like the adjustable country joy craft ones. Had one in my Bonneville, And use the one from my Mustang in my truck now.

I just removed the suction cups from the bracket, slathered the bracket with epoxy, put it back where I wanted it, used duct tape to hold it in place. Next day, removed duct tape. It is there to stay now. Neat clean installation.

I have a velcro strip on the dash for mine. No the most pleasing visually, but at least the detector wont fall off!
