Wiping the tears from my eyes, as this so brings back a distant memory of mine. My first car a 76 Honda Civic, I was 16 it had a 3 speed stick and 4 banger engine, couldn't hear it hardly at all and couldn't afford to put a fart can on it, don't think they even had such a thing way back then but they did have boom boxes and I had one with dual cassette, am/fm and huge speakers and a microphone input jack.

You guessed it, I went to radio shack and got an all weather mic and taped it under the car near the exhaust tip and ran the wire up into the back seat and plugged it in, I was "Speed Racer" for a while. ROFL No "R Type" stickers back then so I had to fake the extra HP hahahahaha, hey I was 16 ok so eat me

Now that I think about it Ford STOLE my idea I should sue!!! LMAO
.

I'd definitely try and sue Ford, hope you got a fat checking account!
Seriously though gotta hand it to you, with all the things i've done as a snot nosed teenager to soup up my old cars, never thought of that one.

Ha ha, FAUX engine/exhaust noise just don't seem to 'sound' right.
How about instead phony engine/exhaust noise?

Now that i think on it, what is Ford's official engineering name for the fake i mean faux i mean phony engine noise?

Genuine OEM enhanced imitation engine sounds? I don't know, I'm sure it's some sort of lofty name though.
Ya, "faux" just doesn't get it with English. Maybe one of the Quebec guys will translate it to French for us. At least then it might sound sexy!

Magnaflow with a 3" mid-pipe with the resonator removed. It's a little obnoxious but fun. I ran out of room in my sig.

Ahh IC said the blind man, Thought it sounded a little familiar. I have a Magnaflow system on my truck, kept the oem resonator though.
