I work about 4 miles from home and my wife and I don't do much on the weekends so not much fuel is burned. I drive it a lot for work and they pay for the fuel so it is kind of like driving for free. I buy fuel at Shell and get .10 off a gallon for using a grocery store loyalty card and get another .05 off a gallon for using my Shell card. Hey, every little bit helps!!!!

Lmao.....fock wasting money unless it makes me go faster or sound better so I'm going to ride this out ! Don't see how throwing money in my tank is cool....just a waste I can't justify. I would rather throw it on upgrades JMO

I don't get it. You would rather throw money on upgrades to a truck you won't drive? There is not "ride it out." High gas prices are here to stay, they aren't going anywhere. Not to mention mods that make you "go faster" usually make you burn more fuel in the process...exactly the reason you are parking it in the first place.

I use my truck for to make a living so I'm s.o.l.
If you dont need to drive your truck you're doing the right think IMO.
Why drive something that only gets mid teen's MPG when you can drive something that gets mid 20's MPG.

say you are averaging 10 more mpg, how many miles will you have to drive to just break even, after the initial price of buying the car, tax, title, insurance, etc, might take you a couple years just to break even
if you can afford both, then go for it, youll obviously see some savings eventually
