Pulsating

Hey everyone. New to the forum, although I have been lurking for a while. Just picked up a new 18 F150 3.5 Ecoboost with 8 miles on it. I have about 270 miles on it now. Two issues were pulsating brakes, which went away after about 100 miles and the next issue, which is a pulsating or chugging feeling persists. I’m wondering if it has to do with the tires since this truck was sitting on the dealer’s lot for quite a few months before I bought it. Hasn’t gotten any better or worse and it can be felt by passengers as well. Anyone else have a similar issue or know what it could be? Flat spots on tires, balancing issue, tranny?

Never had had an issue like this with a new car.

Usually pulsing brakes are due to a warped rotor(s).

Braking or when accelerating?

Difficult to figure the rotors are warped with only a couple hundred miles. Way more likely to be just a rough spot of rust on the rotors from sitting outside on the lot in rainy/humid conditions. Carefully check the rotor surfaces for any blemishes. If they're just surface imperfections, normal driving will polish them out pretty quickly. If they're deeper, take your truck back to the dealer and have them install new rotors. Don't let them turn your rotors, as that will greatly diminish the life you'll get out of them.

I'm more concerned with the pulsating while driving and that has nothing to do with the brakes. The brakes are easy enough to figure out. Pulsating while driving....what could that be? Tires out of balance? Driveshaft? ....

How long was the truck sitting on the lot? If it sat in one place over several months the tires might have flat spots.
